1. Scope

This page describes how captions.space (the “Service”) processes personal data of users in the European Economic Area under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies and marketing emails.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — Service security and abuse prevention.
• Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) — accounting and tax records.

As a data subject you have the right to:

4. Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account is active and is deleted or anonymised after account deletion or upon your request — except where retention is required by law. Uploaded videos and processing results are used solely to provide the Service and are deleted together with the project.

5. Data transfers

Data is shared with third parties only to the extent needed to provide the Service (sign-in, payments) or where required by law. Transfers outside the EEA rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
